We become QSA and PCI certifiers

Every day, massive amounts of financial operations take place online—not only purchases, but bill payments and all kinds of bank transactions. All these operations generate a large amount of confidential data that must be protected. Regardless of a company’s sector, if card data is processed, stored, or transmitted, compliance with the standard is mandatory.

The PCI DSS standard is a security framework aimed at reducing credit card–related fraud and increasing the security of the data involved in online transactions.

Protecting the payment ecosystem

Payment cards have steadily increased in recent years and have become a fundamental part of people’s daily lives. By the third quarter of 2020, the total number of cards in circulation reached a new record of 87.5 million units, according to updated data from the Bank of Spain. Today, there are more cards than inhabitants in the Iberian market. This has made them a primary target for cybercriminals. Cybercrime has found a niche here, and that is why it is so important to offer the most complete and secure services to protect payment methods from potential attacks.

According to the 1st Mastercard Cashless Cities Index, conducted by Alpha Research, 40.5% of surveyed consumers prefer using their credit or debit card rather than paying in cash. Physical money remains the choice of 28.7%, followed by contactless payments at nearly 26% and mobile payments at around 3%.
