BOTECH joins UNAV as an associate member to help protect travel agencies from fraud
The National Union of Travel Agencies (UNAV) has welcomed BOTECH into its organization as an associate member. It is the only company in the UNAV universe that ensures compliance with the PCI DSS regulations required by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and also holds QSA licenses for these certifications.
PCI DSS is an internationally recognized certification endorsed by all payment card issuers (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Discover, and American Express) and mandatory for anyone who processes, stores, or transmits card data. Its main objective is to reduce fraud and protect data.
The integration of BOTECH into UNAV brings a number of advantages for travel agencies that are members of this entity, including the support of advisors from this firm throughout the PCI DSS certification process, so that it can be carried out in a simple and agile manner, with special rates for all members.
BOTECH has also created an exclusive electronic portal for UNAV members, which allows them to directly process security standard certification and obtain the official document that must be uploaded to the IATA portal.
BOTECH's membership of UNAV also offers a number of benefits in return, such as interaction with its members through communication channels, as well as preferential participation in forums and conferences. With this integration, UNAV now has a total of 30 member brands, in addition to bringing together more than 3,000 travel agencies, with a total of nearly 4,800 points of sale.
“BOTECH's incorporation into UNAV not only allows us to offer members a faster, more agile, and simpler way to comply with the PCI DSS regulations required by IATA through our portal, but it also gives us the opportunity to make our extensive experience in cybersecurity available to them and emphasize the importance of awareness, continuous training in digital security to identify where the dangers lie and help prevent and mitigate them”.
“In today's world, cybersecurity is no longer an option, it is a necessity to prevent attacks that can cause irreparable losses. The leadership and knowledge of the UNAV team in the sector, combined with the expertise of the BOTECH team, whose experts have been working in the world of cybersecurity for three decades, allows both organizations to do their bit to achieve a more secure environment and sector.”
